Arrival and Dismissal Map

Arrival Procedures

We will follow the same traffic pattern as last year. Please review the map (above) for Car Drop Off Procedures. Enter following the yellow arrows on the map. Once your car is along the curb near the main playground and you have parked in front of a cone, your child(ren) must exit the vehicle on the right (curb) side. A staff member will alert you when it is OK for a student(s) to exit the car. Multiple cars will release at the same time and then exit the parking lot along the green arrow. Students will walk on the sidewalk (red arrow) to door #7 on the playground. Students will be able to exit cars beginning at 9:00. Please do not release your child from the car until a staff member is on duty.

Important Reminders

If you are dropping your child off after 9:10 a.m. you will need to sign the student in at the front door.
BUSES ONLY in the front loop until 9:20a.m. Please do not drop children off at the front door during this time frame.
Do not drop off your child in the turn lane at the south entrance. Use the north entrance and follow the proper drop off procedure.
Stay off your phone while in the drop off line. The safety of our students is our top priority.
Please be mindful of cars entering from the north AND south. An every other car system allows for a fair and steady flow.
Do not let children exit the vehicle on the driver side.
Do not drive on the inside of the bus lane during drop off. Buses need to be able to exit.

Walkers and Bikers

Students walking or riding bikes will enter door #7 beginning at 9:00 a.m. Students are encouraged to arrive at 9:00; however if students arrive early, each will be asked to stand patiently until the building opens. There is not supervision on the playground prior to school starting. Please notice the bike racks are beside the fence near the kickball field. Please park your bikes by the field to ensure a clear walking path by the school.

Dismissal Procedures

Students will be released at the end of the day at the following times

3:35 p.m. - First Bell
3:37 p.m. - Second Bell
3:35 p.m. - Walkers and bike riders may exit building out door #7
3:35 p.m. - Latchkey students will walk to the cafeteria
3:35 p.m. - Students getting picked up by parents are released to side door #7 (car line). Loading location is the same as the unloading location.
3:37 p.m. - Bus riders will remain in their classroom until bus numbers are called over P.A. System.

Mid-Day Dismissal and Arrival Procedures

Morning arrival and afternoon dismissal procedures will follow the same process as 1st- 5th grade students. However, midday dismissal and arrival will be different.

Midday Dismissal (AM Students)

Students attending the morning kindergarten session will be dismissed at 11:50 a.m. All students, regardless of address, will have access to midday bus transportation. Students riding a bus will be placed on the bus by a school staff member. If a parent chooses to pick up their child the parent should park in the parking lot and walk to the front door to pick up their student. We no longer allow cars to park in the front loop due to safety concerns.

Midday Arrival (PM Students)

Students attending the afternoon kindergarten session will be able to enter the school at 12:55 p.m. All students, regardless of address, will have access to midday bus transportation. Students riding a bus will be greeted by a school staff member and walked into the building. If a parent chooses to drop their child off, please park in the parking lot and walk your student to the front entrance. We no longer allow cars to park in the front loop due to safety concerns.
